Q. What is the theme for this zine?
A. The theme for this zine is time periods and decades! The idea is to have pieces created in various time periods and decades, whether it be from canon essences or the creator's choice!

Q. What age do I need to be to apply? Is there NSFW content in this zine?
A. At time of application submitting, you will need to be 18+. There is the possibility for this zine or bonus content to contain NSFW content, so all contributors to the zine must be 18.

Q. Do I need to apply for the zine?
A. Yes, there will be an application process. More information about this will be available when the applications go out, including what we are fully requiring for pieces.

Q. What type of HxS ships are you looking for?
A. Any! We will be looking for a wide variety of HxS ships as to not make this zine weigh heavily towards the more popular ships.

Q. Will you be going through my twitter? Or my ao3 bookmarks?
A. No, we will not. We will be looking at the material that you present to us. The zine itself will have a set of rules, as will the zine server, and we ask that you abide by those rules for your zine piece and when you converse in the server. We will not be making judgement based on anything outside of that.

Q. How much will this zine cost? Will it be digital or print?
A. Through Time will be a free, digital zine, with a digital merch package as well! This may be expanded upon as mod conversations continue, but at the minimum, this will be a free digital zine!

Q. You have mentioned a digital merch bundle. What is that?
A. The goal is to have a small digital merch bundle that contains printable stickers, bookmarks, prints, and other such digital merch. These pieces will be watermarked to prevent resale/redistribution.

Along with that, content involving Robbie and Yidhra's Followers will not be allowed.
In regards to Galatea, all of the zine mods agree that Galatea is of adult age after going through her lore and information. However, we understand that that is a topic of varying views. Pieces containing Galatea are allowed, but we ask that they are SFW.

2. NSFW Content
NSFW content is allowed in this zine, however we stress that that is not what this zine is centered. We are currently in discussion of how many pieces of NSFW content we will be allowing, as well as distribution of said NSFW content.

3. Ships and Themes
In order to not make this zine lean towards certain ships or time themes, we will be capping how many of pieces can be created for each ship and time theme. These numbers will be solidified by app opening.

Contributor FAQ
Q. Are you accepting writers? If so, how many?
A. Yes! This zine will have writers! We are currently looking at accepting 15 writers.

Q. How many artists are you accepting?
A. At this current moment, we are looking to accept 20 artists.

Q. Are you accepting comic artists? If so, how many?
A. Yes! We are looking to accept 3 comic artists.

Q. Are you accepting merch artists? If so, how many and what would we be making?

Q. Will there be guest contributors?
A. The mods are still working on this, and if so, that decision will be made amongst the mods. Guest contributor pieces will NOT count against the ship cap.

Q. Are there certain HxS ships you are looking for?
A. As mentioned in the Zine FAQ, we are looking for a wide assortment of HxS ships! We don't want this zine to be too top of heavy with popular ships, so we are looking for a wide range of HxS ships. In addition, there will be a cap on how many pieces can be created for a certain ship.

ZINE PIECE FAQ

Q. I wish to apply for more than one position. Can I do that?
A. Yes. However, please note that you can only hold one spot in the zine. (For the bonus zine, this may change, as it is meant for fun. More details about this are forthcoming.)

Q. What are the WRITER requirements for a zine piece?
A. Writers are asked to write a minimum of 1k words, but no more than 5k.

Q. What are the PAGE ARTIST requirements for a zine piece?
A. Page artists are asked to create a piece with their assigned ship with at minimum, a simple background.

Q. What are the COMIC ARTIST requirements for a zine piece?
A. Comic artists are asked to create a 2-3 page comic with simple/flat coloring (color or black/white).

Q. What are the MERCH ARTIST requirements for zine merch?
A. Merch artists are asked to create at least 2 pieces of digital/downloadable merch, such as bookmarks, emotes, icons etc.
Please note: You must be okay with your work potentially being printed and used for personal usage only. We will have a zine watermark that you can use for your pieces.

Make sure you have read the Zine FAQ/Info section and the Contributor section. Some of this info will be repeated in the app, but still be sure to read it.

PIECE SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
FOR EVERYONE:
ALL SUBMITTED WORKS SHOULD BE SFW. See below for NSFW interest.
The works submitted can be non IDV related but we recommend at least one of them to be, but it is not obligatory.
FOR LINKS instead of a drive folder: feel free to directly link to twitter, ao3, insta, etc.IF YOU SUBMIT A DRIVE: make sure it is set so that we can see it. If it is private, we WILL NOT be contacting you about it.
WRITER Application Requirements:
Either:
A GOOGLE DRIVE or PORTFOLIO link with three (3) of your best works with at least one(1) IDV related pieces. All three pieces should be a minimum of 1000 words.
OR
LINKS to three (3) pieces, one(1) related to IDV. All three pieces should be a minimum of 1000 words.
PAGE ARTIST Application Requirements:

COMIC ARTIST Application Requirements:
Either:

MERCH ARTIST Application Requirements:

A GOOGLE DRIVE or PORTFOLIO link with three (3) of your best merch designs, for any of the digital merch interested. One (1) should be related to IDV. They should be related to the merch types you are applying for. (IE a print for prints/bookmarks, an icon for emotes/icon etc.)

If you are considering creating a NSFW piece:
You will have the option to select whether you are interested in creating a NSFW piece. IF THERE IS A POSSIBILITY YOU WANT TO DO THIS, YOU MUST ANSWER HERE. You can decide to not do a NSFW piece later, but you cannot decide to make your piece NSFW later.
If you are interested in potentially doing a NSFW piece, we ask that you submit up to two (2) of your best NSFW pieces. YOU MUST LIST ANY CONTENT WARNINGS.

SHIP CHOICE INFORMATION
You will be asked to submit three (3) ships that you are interested in creating a piece for. ALL THREE SHIPS SHOULD BE SOMETHING YOU ARE INVESTED IN CREATING SOMETHING FOR. We ask that you do not submit a ship that you won’t want to write something for should it be your assigned ship.
We are looking for a wide variety of ships to be in our zine, so we are limiting applicant pieces to THREE (3) pieces (in total) per ship. (Please note, merch is excluded from this, but we will make sure that all ships big or small get featured in our merch!)
If you get accepted, you will be informed of which of the three ships you submitted you can create something for. This could be all three of your submitted ships, or just one.
That being said, we advise that you submit what ships YOU really love and want to create something for as well as have a variety. If you submit three ships that are popular ships, you might be less likely to get a spot in the zine as we wouldn’t have a ship for you to create something for.
To clarify popular ships: by “popular ships”, we are referring to your big ones, like Antonio and Andrew, Jack and Naib, Hastur and Eli, Joseph and Aesop, Luchino and Norton, Grace and Fiona. This also includes SURVIVOR x HUNTER versions of these HxS ships.
(For record, we received the following interest for these character ships [this includes both HxS and SxH]:

To clarify again: We advise that you don’t submit your app with all three ships being popular ships. You can totally submit with them! Just be advised that due to limiting ships to three (3) pieces a character set, we advise that you also choose some lesser known ships that you really like!
NOTE: For accepted applicants who select ships that have over three people interested in creating something for, we are looking for pieces that really showcase the ship. Should mods be unable to decide after deliberation, then applicants will be RNGd. This is ONLY for piece ship selection if you are accepted. This is NOT for zine acceptance as we are looking at all your submitted works.
